On March 20, 2008 Insurance Protection Group announced the merge of Bullock and Pakenham Insurance. For Arnold and Karen Patterson, owners of Pakenham Insurance, the announcement of the change in ownership of the 146 year old Insurance Brokerage was the culmination of a two year perpetuation strategy aimed at ‘insuring’ a seamless transfer of ownership for the continuity of its loyal customers. Arnold and Karen’s legacy began when they became active in the business in 1966 taking over from Karen’s grandfather who acquired the brokerage in 1941.
Staying on as an Insurance Consultant, Arnold joins Bob and Brenda Bullock who also stayed on as Insurance Consultants when Bullock Insurance was acquired by Insurance Protection Group last July 15th 2007. Bullock Insurance, established by Bob Bullock in 1978 had been a strong competitor of Pakenham Insurance and together they now continue their proud history of ‘value added client services’ to the greater Trent Hills and surrounding communities.
